VINEYARD

OUR SINGLE VINEYARD IN KONDOLI

Our vineyard is located in Kondoli, Kakheti, in the heart of one of Georgia's most renowned wine-growing landscapes.

Set within the Alazani Valley and framed by the Caucasus Mountains, Kondoli has a long association with viticulture. Its natural environment and distinctive seasonal climate provide excellent conditions for cultivating Saperavi, one of Georgia's most celebrated indigenous grape varieties.

OLD VINES. DEEP ROOTS

Our single vineyard is home to old Saperavi vines that have been growing on this land for decades.

These mature vines are at the heart of Madli Wines. Deeply established in the soil and naturally shaped by years of changing seasons, they produce grapes of exceptional character, giving our Saperavi its depth, richness and distinctive expression. For us, the age of the vines represents more than time. It represents continuity — a connection between the land, the harvests of the past and the wines we produce today.

FROM VINEYARD TO WINE

Every bottle of Madli Saperavi begins here.

The character of our wine starts with the grapes grown in our own vineyard. From season to season, we work with the natural rhythm of the vineyard, allowing the Saperavi grape and the character of Kondoli to remain at the heart of our wine.

Our philosophy is simple: respect the land, nurture the vines and let the vineyard speak through the wine.

Soil

SOIL

The character of our Saperavi begins in the soil of our vineyard.

The soils of Kondoli, together with the natural conditions of the Alazani Valley, provide a favourable environment for deeply rooted, established vines. Over the years, our old Saperavi vines have adapted to this land, drawing from it the qualities that contribute to the depth, structure and distinctive character of the grapes.

For Madli, the soil is an essential part of the vineyard's identity — and ultimately, of the wine itself.

Climate

CLIMATE

Kondoli experiences the distinct seasons characteristic of Kakheti, with warm, sun-filled summers and cooler periods that shape the natural cycle of the vineyard.

The combination of generous sunlight, seasonal temperature variation and the influence of the surrounding landscape allows Saperavi to develop gradually through the growing season, achieving ripeness while retaining the natural structure for which the variety is known.

Year after year, the climate becomes part of the character of each harvest.

Grape

GRAPE

Saperavi is the heart of Madli Wines.

One of Georgia's most distinguished indigenous red grape varieties, Saperavi is known for its naturally deep colour, expressive dark-fruit character, firm structure and remarkable ageing potential.

Our Saperavi comes exclusively from our single vineyard in Kondoli, where old vines have been growing for decades.

It is this combination of grape, vineyard and place that defines the identity of Madli Saperavi.
